Our Mission

OMEGA PERFORMING ARTS

Established in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Omega Performing Arts was founded by Ryan Thornton in Austin, TX.

Omega Performing Arts is exclusively for the purpose and goals of providing color guard and dance performance and educational opportunities to performing arts students in the greater Austin area.

Omega Performing Arts is a Section 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Non-Profit Organization incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas and in compliance with the Internal Revenue Code.

As the first division of Omega Performing Arts, Ω competed as an Independent A Class program in Winter Guard International and the Texas Color Guard Circuit.

Ω Dance Company

Omega Performing Arts is proud to introduce Omega Dance Company. ΩDC is an educational performance opportunity for performers of all experience levels to train and perform in an amateur dance company. ΩDC will operate during the summertime, allowing performers of all ages to participate.

Ω Pride

During the summer, Omega Performing Arts will be sponsoring a Parade Color Guard dedicated to performing in the annual Austin Pride Parade! ΩPride debuted in 2021, however, due to a rise in COVID-19 cases, the Austin Pride Parade was canceled. In 2022, ΩPride returned and successfully performed in the Austin Pride Parade for the first time!

Ω Method

Omega Performing Arts is excited to give back to our community! Ω Method is a design, clinic, and consultation division focused on teaching color guard/dance techniques and educational tools to the community. We offer public and private clinics (geared towards high schools and school districts) as well as design and consultation services!
